Bran Davies is an albino boy with "tawny [eyes] like an owl's", whom Will meets on his uncle David Evans' farm along with his dog, Cafall. He is the Pendragon, the son of King Arthur brought forward in time by Merriman at the behest of his mother, Gwen. He has lived since a few days after his birth with his adopted father, Owen Davies.
